This service aims to offer parents a choice in situations of illness or emergency that are always stressful, and usually require additional care than the care which can be provided by the family doctor especially out of normal working hours.
For young people over the age of 14, it is possible to prefer to be seen by the doctor on duty in Adult Emergency, a General Practitioner.
Outside the Pediatric Medical Care hours, the legal guardian is informed of the impossibility of being seen by a Pediatrician and asked if he or she wants the child to be observed by the General Practitioner.
