Centro Médico Internacional de Vila Real de Santo António
This Project aims to improve the health of the less fortunate population and results from a protocol between the Town Councils of Vila Real de Santo Antonio and Olhão.
The first stage is to start on the 1st of August and will be dedicated to Ophthalmology. The Grupo HPA Saude has agreed to provide the necessary facilities for the Out-Patient Medical Consultation. An Ophthalmologist has been contracted by the Town Councils, and these will take place at the Clinic in Vila Real de Santo Antonio.
When there is indication for surgery, it will take place at the Hospital Particular in Gambelas and the cost will be supported by the respective Town Council and the patient, according to each individuals their financial capacity.
In the near future, the “Cuidar” Project will be extended to other medical specialties such as cardiology and dermatology.
