This year, the anniversary date also marks the announcement of the first private hospital on the Alentejo coast: the Hospital Particular do Alentejo, in the city of Sines.
This unit reinforces the Group's presence in the region since 2017, when it decided to start its activity there. The area boasts, in addition to the new hospital, four clinics (in Vila Nova de Milfontes, São Teotónio, Odemira and Beja).
HPA in Sines takes the place of the oldest and largest clinic established in the region - Clídis, Clínica de Diagnósticos de Sines - which has been operating in the region for 44 years in conjunction with twenty-four clinical analysis collection stations, spread across the districts of Setúbal and Beja.
In order to become a hospital, it was necessary to carry out major physical changes to the building, so that it is now possible to provide two operating theatres, an in-patient area, an intermediate care unit and a renewed imaging service that has differentiated technology, namely the only MRI in the region.
