A scientific meeting on Dyslexia will be held on November 17 in partnership with the Algarve University. The speakers are some of the most knowledgeable national names in this area.
It is estimated that in Portugal approximately 5.4% of children of school going, suffer from Dyslexia. Considered a serious problem in the teaching / learning process, it deserves awareness, reflection and action from all professionals in the area of health and education.
In the etiology of Dyslexia there are genetic, neurological and neurolinguistic alterations, which affect reading and writing, resulting in learning difficulties and also in interpersonal relationships and self-esteem
