The 1st Course on ENT Emergencies for General Practitioners and Medical Students, took place on the 20th of February at the Hospital Particular in Alvor, under the coordination of Dr Ilidio Gonçalves, Coordinator of the Department of Otolaryngology of the Hospital Particular do Algarve. There were 10 Speakers and with a full capacity of participants.
In addition to an extensive number of theoretical themes, six practical courses were made available, where participants had the opportunity to observe and practice different approaches in the assessment and intervention in emergencies related to this specialty. Some of the Workshops had real case situations, enabling a closer proximity to day-to-day situations in clinical practice.
