On March 26, a training session dedicated to basic complementary diagnostic tests took place at HPA Alvor, organised by the Internal Medicine team of the Alvor Unit of the HPA Health Group.
The session covered essential topics in the initial assessment of the patient, with a focus on the rational request for clinical analyses, presented by Dr Nuno Fernandes; the interpretation of chest and abdominal X-rays in diagnosis, discussed by Dr João Conceição e Silva; the reading of ECGs in the identification of critical alterations, explained by Dr Gonçalo Cardoso; and the importance of gasometry as an initial test and its clinical implications, presented by Dr Ricardo Louro.
This meeting was an opportunity for sharing and learning, allowing for the revisiting and discussion of essential tests for diagnosis and treatment. The exchange of experiences reinforces the HPA Health Group's commitment to excellence in the care provided to patients.
